Application form along with the prospectus for admission in to Higher Secondary & B.A Courses is issued immediately after the announcement of H.S.L.C and H.S.S.L.C Examination result. A student seeking admission has to apply in the prescribe form within the time notified in college Notice Board. Student may collect the application from along with the prospectus from the college office.
An admission committee constituted by the college authority to look after the matter of admission.
Admission Criteria : for B.A. Classes:
The minimum qualification for admission into Bachelor of Arts (B.A)Programme A student who has passed HS final Examination (10+2) shall be eligible for admission for the First Semester of the six semester degree course in Arts.
3. Statutory reservation policy shall be followed in case of selection for eligible candidates for admission.
Structure of course of the programme:
All BA programme shall have to the following components. viz. (i)Compulsory courses,(ii)Major courses,(iii).Non Major courses,(iv)Skill Based courses.
SUBJECTS The subject mentioned below shall be offered in the six semester degree programme.
(i) English (ii) Modern Indian Language (MIL): Assamese option is available for Alternative English/Bodo/Nepali (iii) Computer Skills/Communication Skills/Functional English (optional) (iv) Multi-disciplinary (V) Environmental Studies* (Vi) Skill based Courses (For General Programme only)
Elective Language (Assamese) Economics, Education ,History, Political Science, Sociology Students having major should select any one subject and students without major shouldnâ€™t select any two subject from the elective subject mentioned above.
The college provides major courses in Assamese, English, Economics, Education, History, Political Science, for major courses students are selected on merit basis by respective departments, Students may apply for major two subjects on prefrence.25seats for major in each subjects are allotted.
