NAAC – Sponsored National Seminar held in Furkating College

A NAAC – sponsored national seminar organized by IQAC, Furkating College on the topic “Innovative Practices for Enhancement and Sustenance of Quality in Institutions of Higher Education: Trends and Prospects” was held on 7th June, 2019. Dr. Krishna Gopal Bhattacharyya, Retd. Prof. & former Director, UGC – HRDC, Gauhati University inaugurated the programme while the Keynote Address was delivered by Dr. Utpal Sharma, Prof; Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, Tezpur University. Dr. Devabrata Sharma, Principal, Jorhat College and Mr. Porag Sharma, Head, Dept.of Commerce, J. B. College, Jorhat and Mr. Simanta Poddar, Vice-Principal, Furkating College chaired the technical sessions. In the inaugural session of the seminar, where about 40 research papers were presented by academicians and research scholars across the state, Dr. Apurba Saikia, Principal, Furkating College delivered the Welcome Address and Mr. Simanta Poddar, Vice-Principal of the college offered the Vote of Thanks. The inaugural session was anchored by Dr. Debashis Baruah, Coordinator, IQAC, Furkating College & Convenor of the national seminar.
